Dr. Lee on Location – Foundations, Excavation, and Water Management

Every now and again, it’s nice to actually get out in the field and work with your hands, and watch others who are very adept at their trade work with their hands.

I visited a jobsite the other day, a jobsite in which I played a role in the design process, and it was nice to see the project coming together.

In the attached video, I talk about excavation, soil quality, appropriate building substrates, water management, and the benefits of modularity in the construction process.

You’ll hear some background noise – traffic and the workers communicating with each other.

All in all, it was a great way to spend my Friday!

Let me know if you have any questions about the concepts discussed within.

Until next time,
Dr. Lee Newton
